Vitalux^® AREDS

Vitalux^® AREDS is the first multivitamin/multimineral in Canada specifically formulated with the ingredients that were shown in the Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS) to delay the progression of Age-Related Macular Degeneration. Vitalux^® AREDS also contains lutein and zeazanthin, two important carotenoids in ocular health.

Vitalux^®-S

Vitalux^®-S is a new multivitamin/multimineral supplement specifically formulated for smokers or recent ex-smokers. Vitalux-S contains the same ingredients as Vitalux AREDS with the exception of beta carotene. The absence of beta carotene is in answer to another major study that linked supplemental beta-carotene taken by smokers and recent ex-smokers to an increased incidence of lung cancer and an increased risk of death from lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, and other causes.

Vitalux^® Time Release

Vitalux^® Time Release was the first widely available ocular multivitamin/multimineral in Canada to also contain LUTEIN and ZEAXANTHIN (two important ocular carotenoids).
